Thermal Resistance
The switch handles are located in close proximity to hot cooking zones. The material used must permanently withstand the highest temperatures without deforming.
For the German premium home appliance manufacturer Gaggenau, we manufacture control elements for gas hobs. The slim, purist design of the hobs left us very little room to join the various components securely and precisely.
Thanks to our experience in engineering and processing, we were able to realize an economical snap-fit connection as well as an integrated coil spring. This enables the characteristic and necessary downward press of the switch handle during operation on gas hobs.
A thoroughly successful control element in the quality Ambros Huber is known for.
The switch handles are located in close proximity to hot cooking zones. The material used must permanently withstand the highest temperatures without deforming.
Aggressive food acids (e.g. lemon, vinegar) and strong household chemicals must not attack the structure or surface of the handles.
Whether high-gloss polished, metallically coated, painted, printed or laser-marked: the surface must convey a premium feel and remain flawless over the long term.
A secure snap-fit connection and a coil spring for the required lift and rotational movement had to be fitted into the smallest possible space.
The challenges in production lie in a perfectly executed surface. The switch handle must not only be visually flawless, but also withstand extreme heat and everyday use on a gas hob.
